Why add starch when doing laundry

UAportal publishes useful tips on how to use starch during laundry so that the washing process is more effective.
When washing silk
When it comes to washing silk clothes, the use of starch can be beneficial if done correctly. Experts recommend diluting it in cold water before adding it to the washing machine to avoid lumps.
Alternatively, for a more controlled application, you can use the solution directly on the product with a spray bottle. After washing, rinse the garment in cold water to completely remove the starch, and then let it air dry or gently iron it.
To remove stubborn stains
Starch can be an effective tool for removing stubborn stains from clothes. For individual stains, you can mix starch with a little water to form a thick paste and apply it directly to the stain.
Allow the mixture to dry and then gently shake off the excess before washing the garment as usual. If the stain is particularly stubborn or difficult to remove, apply a starch paste and leave it on for a long time. This time will allow the product to penetrate the stain and break it down.
For delicate fabrics
Be careful when using starch on delicate fabrics such as lace or sheer materials. It is recommended that you first test a small, inconspicuous area to make sure that the starch will not cause discoloration or damage.
