Preserve the brightness of your clothes: how to avoid discoloration

When washing brightly colored clothes, it is important to take certain precautions to prevent leaching and discoloration. UAportal has prepared effective ways to preserve the color saturation of clothes.
Separate your clothes
Always sort your clothes by color before washing, especially bright or new items that may fade. Separate white, light, and dark clothes to prevent accidental dye transfer.
Use laundry cloths or special products to help trap the dye and prevent it from getting on other clothes. Read clothing labels and follow the recommended instructions, especially for new clothes or brightly colored clothing.

Cold water
When washing brightly colored clothes, it is better to use a low water temperature, as hot water can fade or discolor colors. Turn brightly colored items inside out to further protect their color and minimize the risk of dye transfer.
Use a gentle, color-safe detergent. Avoid overloading the washing machine - having enough space to move things around freely can reduce the chance of dye transfer and help clean more effectively.
Air dry brightly colored items
Whenever possible, dry brightly colored items outside instead of in the dryer. Hang your clothes on the balcony in the sunshine to help the colors to set naturally and keep them looking bright.
