Caramel-covered donuts: a recipe for those who aren't on a diet

Going on a diet? Wait until you make these donuts first.
For dough:
- Warm milk - 100 g;
- Dry yeast - 1.5 tsp;
- Wheat flour - 260-300 g;
- Salt - 0.5 tsp;
- Sugar - 50 g;
- Chicken eggs - 1 pc;
- Butter - 50 g.
For vanilla custard:
- Milk - 300 g;
- Chicken eggs - 1 pc;
- Corn starch - 20 g;
- Vanilla sugar - 8 g;
- Sugar - 30 g.
For caramel:
- Sugar - 200 g;
- Water - 100 ml.
Method of preparation:
1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and knead the dough. It should be soft to the touch. If necessary, add more flour.
2. Transfer it to a bowl and cover with plastic wrap.
3. Put a small bowl of water in the microwave and heat for 2 minutes. Now you can put the dough in it to rise.
4. Roll out the risen dough (up to 1 cm thick). Cut out donuts. Cover with plastic wrap for 10-15 minutes.
5. Fry in a large amount of oil at 170-180° for 2 minutes on each side.
6. Mix sugar, egg, starch and vanilla sugar in a bowl with a whisk.
7. Heat milk until it is steaming. Pour into the sugar and egg mass and mix. Pour into a saucepan and boil the cream. Cool and cover with cling film so that it touches the cream.
8. Fill the donuts.
9. Mix water and sugar in a saucepan and heat over medium heat to 170-175°.
10. Carefully dip the donuts into the caramel on one side.
P.S.: The longer the donuts stand, the less crispy the caramel will be.
