Dandelions can pose a threat to other plants due to their abundant growth. They can even grow through cracks in asphalt areas, so it is important to remove them in time. UAportal has prepared tips for those who want to get rid of dandelions near their homes.

It is advisable not to allow dandelions to thrive in your garden, as they release substances that can inhibit the growth of other plants. Their aggressive nature poses a risk to the overall growth of other vegetation.

If you want to get rid of dandelions effectively, one of the best methods is to use acetic acid. Due to its high chemical concentration, it can act as a natural herbicide.

The vinegar targets the parts of the plant with which it comes into contact. It destroys flower cells, causing them to dry out and eventually penetrate the roots, leading to death.

Apply vinegar to the places where dandelions sprout. If these weeds are growing in close proximity to important flowers or plants, be careful not to damage them.

For a safer approach, consider using the cardboard method. Place it on the areas where the dandelions grow and cover it with sawdust. Over time, the dandelions will wilt.

Alternatively, you can effectively destroy dandelions by constantly digging them up. Thus, make sure that the entire plant, including the roots, is thoroughly uprooted.
