After completing the repair, many people face the problem of removing primer stains from the laminate floor. UAportal has told you about five proven methods that will help to remove them effectively.

Soaking

Dampen a soft sponge or cloth and place it on the stained area and leave it for about thirty minutes. If the stain is very stubborn, you can use hot water. After the primer has been sufficiently absorbed, use the abrasive side of the sponge to gently remove the residue.

Scraper

If the sponge is not effective, use a scraper, which can be purchased at any hardware store. However, be careful during this process not to damage the laminate. Apply light pressure and use a gentle, sweeping motion at a 35-45 degree angle.

Baking soda

Baking soda has abrasive properties that are ideal for removing primer stains. To prepare the product, mix baking soda with water. Dip a sponge or cloth into the solution and wipe the affected areas of the laminate thoroughly.

Primer

This method is used when no more than an hour has passed since the primer stain appeared. During this time, a fresh layer can dissolve the previous one, making it easy to remove both with a rag or sponge.

Cleaning products

If the previous methods are not effective, it may be necessary to use household cleaners specially formulated for tough stains. For example, you can use a mixture of acetone and water (in a ratio of 1:3). However, it is very important to test the product in advance on an inconspicuous area of the floor to assess any possible reactions with the laminate.

As a reminder, floors often suffer from stains that cannot be washed off with plain water. However, you should not immediately spend money on chemicals from the store. Instead of household chemicals, you can use a natural floor cleaner, such as lemon.
