How to make homemade dishwashing detergent: 5 effective tips

Cleaning products, including dishwashing detergents, are available in different versions - from environmentally friendly to those designed for sensitive skin. UAportal has told you that you can also make your own dishwashing detergent using easily available ingredients.

Baking soda and baby soap

For this recipe, you will need 1 pack of baking soda, 2 bars of baby soap, and 1 liter of warm water. Finely grate the baby soap and then mix it with the baking soda and warm water. Use a mixer to achieve a thick and smooth consistency.

Baking soda and hydrogen peroxide

In a spray bottle, combine 0.5 liters of hot water, 2 tablespoons of baking soda, and 2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide. Mix the mixture thoroughly and it is ready to use.

Laundry soap, baking soda, and salt

Take 1/4 of the laundry soap and dissolve it in 1 cup of boiling water. Then add 3 tablespoons of baking soda and 1 tablespoon of salt. Mix everything well until it is completely combined. Strain the mixture and pour it into a bottle for easy use.

Mustard powder and baking soda

This method is used in professional kitchens and consists of dissolving 1 tablespoon of mustard powder and 1 tablespoon of baking soda in 1 cup of hot water. Mix the ingredients until completely dissolved.

Mustard powder, citric acid, baking soda and salt

For this variation, mix 5 tablespoons of mustard powder with 1 tablespoon of citric acid, 7 tablespoons of baking soda, and 1 tablespoon of table salt. This mixture does not require water and can be used directly as a cleaning agent.
