Vinegar solution for delicate fabrics

When it comes to washing delicate fabrics such as silk or wool that cannot be machine washed, a vinegar solution can work wonders. Prepare a mixture of one part vinegar to three parts water in a spray bottle. Then, the soiled areas should be lightly sprayed and gently wiped with a clean cloth to remove stains and odors.

Baking soda for soft toys

Soft toys can accumulate a lot of dust and dirt over time, so they need to be cleaned regularly. Instead of machine washing, sprinkle baking soda on them and leave them for a few hours. Afterwards, use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove the baking soda.

Cleaning decorative cushions

Gently apply soapy water to the stained area and blot with a clean, damp cloth. Then let the pillows air dry completely, and then fluff them with a fabric brush to restore their shape.
