Eliminating yellow streaks on the toilet can be a challenging task for many housewives. Despite the use of expensive, advertised products, the problem often persists. UAportal has learned that there are simple and affordable solutions that can effectively solve this problem.
Vinegar
Vinegar turns out to be a great solution. Combine a spoonful of baking soda with a glass of vinegar to get a powerful mixture.
Apply it to the affected areas and leave it on for about 10-12 hours. Rinse off thoroughly with plenty of running water. Repeat the process until the yellow streaks disappear completely.
Oxalic acid
Oxalic acid is another great choice to combat yellow stains. Pour a small amount onto a cloth and wipe the stained areas vigorously. Leave on for 50-60 minutes and then rinse with running water.
Electrolyte
If other methods have not worked, electrolyte can be helpful, although it must be handled with great care. Be sure to wear protective woolen clothing, a mask, and a respirator before you begin.
Moisten a cloth with an electrolyte solution and wipe the affected areas. Wait 10 minutes, remove any residue with a scraper, and rinse thoroughly.
Peroxide and ammonia
To make an effective mixture, mix five parts hydrogen peroxide with one part ammonia and add a small amount of water. Apply this mixture to the inside of the toilet bowl, rub gently, and leave it on for an hour and a half to two hours. Apply the mixture again to the affected areas and rinse thoroughly.
Coca-Cola
Coca-Cola works wonders for removing fresh stains from the toilet bowl. Simply pour it on a cloth and wipe the dirt off. Leave it on for an hour and then flush the toilet several times. Instead of a rag, you can pour three liters of Coca-Cola directly onto the surface.
