Keeping the kitchen clean can be quite a challenge for every housewife. Fighting persistent odors adds another level of complexity to routine cleaning. UAportal has prepared three proven life hacks that will help you get rid of these problems.

Cutting board

It is a common misconception that only wooden boards absorb dirt and odors. In fact, bacteria can accumulate on any surface, including plastic and glass boards.

We strongly recommend creating a mixture of lemon juice and salt to neutralize odors. The acidity will eliminate the unpleasant odor, and the abrasive nature of the salt particles will help to thoroughly clean.

Refrigerator.

The smell from the refrigerator often comes out of nowhere. Regardless of whether it is due to improper placement of food or a negligent attitude to cleanliness, the problem needs to be addressed immediately.

A simple but effective way to combat unpleasant odors is to use a vinegar solution. Prepare a mixture by mixing vinegar and water in a ratio of 1:10 and moisten a cloth with this solution and wipe all the inner walls and shelves of the refrigerator. Leave the refrigerator door ajar until the vinegar odor has completely evaporated.

Trash can

There's an easy way to prevent odors from building up in the trash can. Put some baking soda or kitty litter in the bottom. These odor absorbers work wonders in neutralizing unwanted scents. Just remember to replace them on time for optimal results.
