Use of natural remedies

Natural moth repellents, such as cedar blocks, lavender sachets, or dried lemon peels, can be placed in the closet to scare them away with their strong aromas. A simple repellent spray can be made by mixing a few drops of essential oils such as lavender, cedarwood, or peppermint with water in a spray bottle and spraying it inside the closet.

Thorough cleaning

Thorough cleaning with a vacuum cleaner with a hose attachment and subsequent deep cleaning of the cabinet is an effective method of removing hidden larvae and eggs. After cleaning, wipe the entire interior surface with a mixture of water and white vinegar to disinfect and remove any residue. Before cleaning, it is important to remove all clothing and carefully check for signs of moth infestation.

Bay leaf and chalk

To increase protection, you can put a bay leaf or a piece of chalk inside the containers, as they serve as natural remedies against moths. To prevent invasion, you need to carefully check and move stored items.
