Keeping the toilet clean is essential. Although regular cleaning is necessary, you don't have to rely on expensive household chemicals to do the job effectively. UAportal told you about three affordable folk remedies that are simple but effective for cleaning the toilet.

Soda and vinegar

Start by pouring a few spoons of baking soda into the toilet bowl. Leave it for about 30 minutes. Then use a spray bottle to add the vinegar. The reaction between these two ingredients will help break down stubborn stains.

For more stubborn stains, you can prepare a mixture on the stovetop by heating the vinegar and adding a small amount of baking soda. Just remember to be careful when using this solution, as the reaction can cause a fizzing effect.

Laundry

Undiluted bleach is an effective and quick way to clean the toilet bowl. Start by removing the water from the bowl. Then carefully pour in the bleach, covering the stained areas thoroughly.

Leave it to work for several hours. It is important to exercise caution when using bleach due to the presence of hazardous components. Avoid using it if you are uncomfortable taking the necessary precautions, such as wearing a respirator.

Citric acid

A simple but effective solution is citric acid, which works wonders in cleaning the toilet bowl. Carefully pour citric acid on the inside of the bowl and leave it for several hours. After the time has elapsed, wipe the surface thoroughly with a sponge and rinse off the residue with water.
