5 things to wash and launder regularly: Tips from experienced housewives
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene at home is essential for our well-being. Regular cleaning and washing of certain things eliminates the accumulation of dirt and harmful bacteria. UAportal has reviewed five key things that should be done at least once a week, or even more often.
Wash your bedding
Our sheets, pillowcases, and duvet covers accumulate various residues, including sweat. Neglecting to wash them regularly creates a favorable environment for germs to grow. To prevent the growth of unwanted bacteria, it is recommended that you wash your bedding weekly.
Towels
Towels are saturated with moisture after use, retaining soap residue and microscopic particles of dead skin cells. Failure to wash towels regularly can lead to the growth of germs. In addition, using a dirty towel can lead to the transfer of bacteria to the skin.
Refrigerator
Despite the low temperatures, bacteria and fungi can still multiply in the refrigerator. Even tiny food particles or spilled food create a favorable environment for their growth, which often leads to unpleasant odors. To keep your refrigerator fresh and safe, it is recommended that you regularly clean the inside of your refrigerator at least once a week.
Toilet
The toilet is usually the main breeding ground for bacteria, even with the lid closed. Cleaning the toilet and surrounding surfaces with disinfectant at least once a week is essential to prevent the spread of harmful organisms.
Washing the laundry
Allowing dirty laundry to build up can create unnecessary obstacles during the laundry process. This often leads to more time spent sorting, drying, ironing, and organizing when laundry day finally arrives.
