In modern restaurants, the practice of boiling beets for a long time, as is commonly done at home, is long gone. Few people know about the innovative method of high-speed cooking, thanks to which this root vegetable can be cooked in a matter of minutes without losing any of its valuable qualities.

Beetroot is a root vegetable that can be cooked quickly and easily. Here are some simple steps prepared by the UAportal team:

  • Rinse the beets thoroughly and pour boiling water over them until they are completely covered;
  • Boil the beets for a few minutes, then leave them for 30 minutes;
  • After that, drain the hot water and pour cold water over the beets;
  • Let the vegetable stand for 10-15 minutes. Now the beets are ready to eat. The secret is to change temperatures quickly.

An alternative method is the microwave: If you are looking for another way, try cooking beets in the microwave:

  • Wash the beets without removing the skin and place them in a plastic bag;
  • Seal the bag and place it in the microwave;
  • Set the maximum power and cook the beets for 10 minutes;
  • If the beets are large, increase the time to 15-20 minutes.

Cooking beets in the oven: For those who do not use the microwave, there is an option of cooking in the oven:

  • Rinse each beet well and wrap in aluminum foil;
  • Place the beets in a preheated oven;
  • Bake for about 10 minutes, checking for doneness with a knife or fork. Be careful with the hot steam from the foil.

As you can see, there are many ways to quickly cook beets that don't require much time or effort. There's no need to spend hours cooking when you can get delicious and juicy beets while preserving their healthy properties using one of these methods. Try it yourself!
