At least once in our lives, each of us has had a situation where we needed to defrost meat quickly to prepare dinner. Most often, a microwave or boiling water is used for this purpose, but these methods can negatively affect the taste and texture of the product.

There is a gentler way to defrost meat that takes only 10 minutes. At the same time, the meat remains firm, which allows you to cut it into pieces before cooking, TSN writes.

To do this, you need to prepare a solution of sugar and water. In a deep container, dissolve one tablespoon of sugar in warm water (about 40-45 degrees). Mix thoroughly so that the sugar is completely dissolved. Then dip a piece of meat into the solution and leave it for 10 minutes.

After this time, rinse the solution off the meat and start cooking.

This method has several advantages:

  • Speed. The meat defrosts in 10 minutes.
  • Safety. Meat is not exposed to high temperatures, so it retains its beneficial properties.
  • Taste. The meat does not lose its taste and texture.
