Homemade hard cheese has many advantages. In particular, such a product will be free of impurities, and it contains almost 10 times more nutrients than the store-bought version.

We suggest you try making hard cheese according to the simplest recipe shared by chefs from Germany. For this product, you need to have only three ingredients on hand.

How to make hard cheese at home

Combine the milk and cottage cheese in a wide saucepan and stir. Put the saucepan over medium heat, do not bring to a boil, but wait until the whey separates.

Turn off the stove and strain the cottage cheese through a fine sieve lined with two layers of cheesecloth.

Add 30 g of melted butter, baking soda, and salt to the cottage cheese. Mix everything and put it in a water bath until the cottage cheese is melted.

Take a resealable container and put the cheese in it. Wait until it cools down and press it down with a spoon to form a solid block of cheese.

Put it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, and you're ready to eat. Enjoy!
