Cream cheese is quite a popular product that can be consumed alone or used as an ingredient in cooking. In particular, it is essential for confectionery masterpieces.

This soft cheese can be made at home from just one ingredient. Cooks from the leckere Küche channel shared how to do it.

"Just freeze the kefir and get an amazingly delicious cream cheese," the chefs assure.

Homemade cream cheese from kefir

Take a liter of kefir in a cardboard bag (2.5% or more fat) and put it in the freezer overnight. Take the kefir out after 12 hours and put it on a cheesecloth-covered sieve to defrost. Squeeze out the excess whey from the curd through cheesecloth and it will be ready to eat.

This cheese can be used to make a delicious spread for baguettes and bread. Finely chop a few sprigs of dill, squeeze 1-2 cloves of garlic, add a pinch of salt and smoked paprika. Mix everything and put it in a convenient container. Store the spread in the refrigerator for no longer than a week.
