The wilted leaves of the peace lily: an expert explains how to revive the indoor plant

Peace lilies do not thrive in dry air and insufficient watering. To revive a houseplant, experts recommend focusing on these two factors.

Plant expert Anastasia Borisevich told Express.co.uk that peace lilies are tropical plants that flourish in high humidity.

"Avoid letting the soil dry out. Water your peace lily when the top layer of soil is about 1-2 cm dry, which should be about twice a week," she said.

She also suggests daily spraying of the plant to increase the humidity around it.

If your apartment or house has low humidity, you can use a humidifier. Yellowing leaves on your peace lily may indicate insufficient moisture.

In such cases, increase both watering and spraying.

Additionally, inspect the roots for signs of rot or dryness. If present, carefully remove them with a disinfected tool.

Replace the soil with new, lightweight, and well-draining soil.

By following these simple measures, you can rejuvenate your peace lily and enjoy its beauty for years to come.
