Keeps fresh for weeks: the best places to store bread
Bread requires certain storage conditions

It is not always possible to eat all the bread at once. That's why clever housewives use some tricks to keep it fresh for as long as possible. Here's how to store bread properly so that it doesn't get stale and doesn't have any foreign odors. TSN writes about it.

How to store bread properly:

  • In a bread box. Before putting the bread in the breadbox, treat the inside with vinegar to kill fungal bacteria. Wrap the product in several layers of parchment. If you don't have parchment, you can use foil. You can also put the bread in an enamel pan for storage, also wrapped in parchment paper or foil. Do not store different types of bread - black and white - together, as both products will quickly spoil. You can wrap the product in linen cloth for storage, so it will stay fresh longer.
  • In the refrigerator. Because the low temperature prevents the growth of yeast bacteria, bread keeps fresh in the refrigerator. First, wrap the product in parchment paper, then put it in a resealable bag and tie it tightly. This way, you can protect the bread from absorbing odors. The product keeps very well and for a long time in the refrigerator. Before using bread from the refrigerator, warm it up in the microwave or oven. You can also hold it over steam.
  • In the freezer. If you store bread in the freezer, it will certainly lose its softness, but it won't go stale for up to two months. To freeze the product, first cut it into slices and then place it in a resealable bag. If necessary, take out the required amount and put it in the microwave to defrost.
