How many of your friends died because they ate a salad of cucumbers and tomatoes? Not a single one? Strange, because it turns out that all these years we have been eating a "deadly" salad!

Fortunately, everyone survived

Every year, journalists ask me about the benefits of certain vegetables.

CUCUMBERS

Cucumbers are healthy. Especially with the peel, because almost all the most valuable components (vitamins, minerals, and the "compound of youth" cucurbitacin) are collected in the peel and immediately under it. What's under the skin is almost everything: water, a lot of potassium, and a little fiber.

There are so few calories that it's ridiculous to call them calories - you can safely eat a bucket of cucumbers and not gain too much (though the "laxative" effect can leave a cucumber diet in your memory for a long time).

.

AND CUCUMBERS WITH TOMATOES?

Well, yes. In recent years, people have almost always asked if cucumbers can be combined with tomatoes. At first, I wondered why not, but when I Googled it, I had an epiphany: it turns out that it can be deadly!

This "sensation" is reposted and spread by journalists and bloggers, and even repeated by some doctors.

.

They explain this "incompatibility" by the fact that cucumbers contain the enzyme ascorbinase, and tomatoes contain ascorbic acid (vitamin C), which is destroyed by ascorbinase, and we eat "God-knows-what", not salad. There is no benefit, only danger.

.

BUT WHAT'S THE TRUTH?

In fact, there is very little ascorbinase enzyme in cucumbers, and little vitamin C in tomatoes:)

In addition, natural vitamin C is always protected from destruction by bioflavonoids, and tomatoes have a lot of them.

And then, when the chewed mixture of cucumbers and tomatoes gets into the stomach, traces of ascorbinase will remain there, and even those will be inactivated by gastric juice.

In addition, adding balsamic vinegar or lemon juice further reduces the activity of ascorbinase.

Therefore, continue to eat cucumbers and tomatoes, add a lot of herbs, especially parsley, as well as ibulli and garlic.

Not only will you survive, but you can live longer if you have such salads in your diet every day.
