Orchids will bloom brightly if you add these kitchen scraps to the substrate

Orchids are finicky plants that require special care. One of the most common problems is insufficient flowering. But you don't have to spend large sums of money on special fertilizers. You already have everything you need at home.
Ordinary kitchen waste can become a secret weapon for achieving lush flowering of orchids, says famous landscape designer Mark Curran. According to him, banana peels, eggshells, and rice water can turn your orchids into real beauties.
Eggshells, the expert explained, are a source of calcium, which is necessary for the development of the root system. The shells can be crushed and added to the soil or made into a liquid fertilizer.
Banana peel is rich in potassium and phosphorus, which stimulate flowering. The peel can be dried, crushed and added to the soil or made into a liquid fertilizer.
Rice water - contains nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, vitamins and amino acids that nourish the plant and promote root growth.
How to make fertilizer from these ingredients?
Eggshells: crush, dry and add to the soil or cover with water for a week to make a liquid fertilizer.
Banana peel: dry, crush and add to the soil or cover with water for 48 hours to make a liquid fertilizer.
Rice water: leave the broth after cooking rice to ferment for a week, then dilute with water and use for watering.
