Recipe for date and nut pie
Ingredients:
- For the dough:
- wheat flour - 250 g
- semolina - 250 g
- baking powder - 12 g
- sugar - 80 g
- butter - 125 g
- powdered sugar - 20 g
- For the filling:
- walnuts - 100 g
- dates - 250 g
- dried apricots - 100 g
- honey - 20 g
- cinnamon - 5 g
Preparation:
- Pour boiling water over dates and dried apricots for 10-15 minutes. Then drain the water, dry the dried fruits, and chop them finely.
- Chop the nuts, and mix with the dried apricots and dates. Add honey, cinnamon and mix.
- Combine flour, semolina, baking powder, and sugar in a bowl. Add the soft butter and make crumbs with a fork.
- Cover the baking dish with parchment and grease it with butter. Put half of the crumbs in the mold, spread the filling evenly on it, and sprinkle with the rest of the crumbs.
- Bake the cake in a preheated 180 °C oven for 40 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and garnish with dried fruit.
