Coffee is not only a tasty and flavorful drink, but also a source of nutrients useful for plants. Coffee grounds are not only an eco-friendly and affordable fertilizer, but also a great way to get rid of coffee residue.

Coffee grounds can be an excellent organic fertilizer that will enrich the soil with essential trace elements:

  • Nitrogen: promotes green growth and abundant flowering.

  • Magnesium: improves photosynthesis.
  • Calcium: participates in the formation of cell walls.

How to use coffee grounds for fertilizer:

  • Just pour it on the garden bed or flowerbed.
    • Before that, the coffee grounds should be dried on paper or in the oven to prevent mold and mildew.
    • Do not make a layer that is too thick to prevent air from reaching the soil.
  • Mix with water and pour it over the plants.
  • Add to the compost.
    • This will help speed up the composting process and enrich the compost with nutrients.
