Don't rush to throw away: is it possible to use perfume after the expiration date
Perfume can be used even after the expiration date

The date of release of perfumes is indicated on the packaging not so that the buyer can track their age, but to protect the manufacturer from claims in case of improper storage. In such conditions, perfumes can deteriorate before the expiration date.

This was reported by Ukr.media.

How do you know if a perfume has gone bad?

The most noticeable sign of perfume deterioration is a change in aroma. It becomes rancid, reminiscent of the smell of an old medicine. Also, spoiled perfumes can become cloudy or precipitate.

How to store perfume to make it last longer?

Perfume should be stored in a dark, cool place where there are no vibrations. The temperature should not exceed 25 degrees Celsius. Avoid storing perfume in the bathroom, where it can be exposed to moisture and heat.

Vintage perfumes

Collectors often keep perfumes released in the 1980s and earlier. If stored properly, they can retain their fragrance for many years. However, when buying vintage perfumes, it should be borne in mind that some components that were used in old perfumes are now banned for use by the IFRA organization. These substances can cause allergies.
