Marshmallows are a delicate and airy dessert that can be prepared at home in minutes. Try to make this delicacy and see that it is better than store-bought alternatives.

You only need two ingredients: condensed milk and cream or sour cream, the rest is already in your fridge. The recipe was shared on the noviydoctor website.


  • 500 ml of cream (from 30%) or sour cream 20-25%
  • 250 g of condensed milk
  • Optional: fruits, berries, caramel, chocolate, nuts, etc.


  1. Prepare parchment paper and a pastry bag with a nozzle.
  2. The egg white and mashed potatoes should be cold. If desired, you can whip the applesauce with a pinch of citric acid.
  3. Beat the egg white until stiff peaks form.
  4. Pour water into a saucepan and add sugar. Boil the syrup over medium heat to 110 degrees Celsius.
  5. Pour the hot syrup into the beaten eggs and mashed potatoes in a thin stream. Beat with a mixer until the mass begins to curl on the whisk.
  6. Add food coloring and flavoring if desired.
  7. Put the mass into a pastry bag and place it on parchment.
  8. Leave the marshmallows for 8-10 hours at room temperature.


  • It is better to use condensed milk from cow's milk to make marshmallows.
  • If you do not like sour cream, you can use only cream. However, in this case, the marshmallows will be less tender.
  • For flavor, you can use vanilla, lemon or orange zest, cinnamon, etc.
  • If you want to make the marshmallows colored, add a few drops of food coloring to the mass.
  • You can use fruits, berries, caramel, chocolate, nuts, etc. to decorate the marshmallows.
