Some odors can effectively deter pigeons. To protect your green spaces and home from these winged birds, experts advise planting certain plants.

Pest control expert Zach DeAngelis told the Daily Express about them.

According to him, pigeons usually prefer homes where they can freely find food and build nests. However, coexistence with them can cause discomfort for people, as the birds often pollute the area with their waste. In addition, they can harm plants by eating their fruits.

But, according to DeAngelis, deterring pigeons can be quite simple if you know what smells they dislike. He recommends planting plants such as onions and garlic on your property, as their pungent smell and taste are not appealing to birds.

DeAngelis notes that pigeons will try to avoid places with such aromas.

It's best to plant onions and garlic around the perimeter of your garden, paying special attention to places where pigeons usually like to gather, such as their favorite trees and flowers.
