Soil preparation:

  • Choosing a site: It is best to sow dill in a sunny location with loose soil.
  • Fertilization: In the fall, dig up the area and apply nitrogen-containing fertilizers (humus, compost, mineral fertilizers).
  • Before sowing: Water the soil abundantly 2-3 days before sowing.
  • Crop rotation: Observe crop rotation, i.e. do not sow dill in the same place for several years in a row.

Fertilization:

  • Urea: Before sowing, water the soil with a urea solution (1 tsp per 10 liters of water). Repeat the procedure two weeks after germination.
  • Mullein: For lush dill, fertilize the bed with mullein diluted with water in a ratio of 1:10 (0.5 buckets per 1 m²).
  • Humus: You can use humus instead of mullein (half a bucket per 1 m²).

Important:

  • Do not overfeed the plants, as this can lead to a decrease in yield.
  • Water dill in time, especially in hot weather.
  • Weed the beds regularly.
