How to make a thermos with your own hands: life hack with foil
You can make a thermos with your own hands

A thermos is an indispensable item for those who like to spend time outdoors or simply want to enjoy a hot drink in any weather. However, if your thermos is broken, don't despair.

You can easily make one yourself from scrap materials. Telegraf writes about it.

To make a thermos, you will need:

  • A two-liter plastic bottle
  • Scissors or a knife
  • A glass bottle with a narrow neck and a screw cap
  • Aluminum foil
  • Scotch tape or hot glue

Instructions:

  1. Cut off the neck of the plastic bottle.
  2. Cut the rest of the bottle in half.
  3. Wrap the glass bottle tightly with several layers of aluminum foil. Secure the foil with tape or hot glue.
  4. Glue the glass bottle to the bottom half of the plastic bottle.
  5. Place the top half of the plastic bottle over the glass bottle. The edge of the neck of the glass bottle should protrude from the hole in the plastic part.
  6. Tape the two halves of the plastic bottle together.

Here are some tips to help you make your thermos more efficient:

  • Use a narrow-necked glass bottle to reduce the amount of space between the glass and plastic utensils.
  • Wrap the bottle tightly with foil to prevent any gaps.
  • Use high-quality adhesive tape or hot glue to ensure a secure connection.
