Potatoes are a great side dish for lunch or dinner, and baked potatoes are a great way to up the flavor. Here's a recipe that takes into account small but important details to enhance the simple flavor of roasted potatoes.

This recipe will give baked potatoes a new flavor and crispy texture, creating a real gourmet dish. Try making it according to the recipe of the famous chef Jamie Oliver.

Baked Potatoes with Sage and Garlic:

Ingredients:

  • 2.5 kg of potatoes
  • 4 tbsp. tablespoons of butter
  • olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 15 g of fresh sage

Time: 1 hour 30 minutes Servings: 10

Instructions:

  1. Peel the potatoes and put them in boiling salted water without cutting them open. Cook for 15 minutes, then drain in a colander and let dry for two minutes. Gently shake the colander a few times to rough up the edges of the potatoes - this will ensure a crispy exterior.
  2. Place the butter and one tablespoon of olive oil on the largest baking sheet. Add the potatoes and a generous pinch of sea salt and black pepper. Toss to coat the potatoes with the oil and seasonings.
  3. Cover the potatoes and leave them in the refrigerator overnight. The next day, preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  4. Chop the garlic cloves and add them to the baking sheet. Bake the potatoes for an hour, or until they are crispy and golden.
  5. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and gently mash each potato to half size with a pestle. Drizzle the sage leaves with oil to give them even more crispiness.
  6. Sprinkle the potatoes with the sage and bake for another 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Serve with your favorite sauce, fried meat, or vegetables.
