Rodents, such as rats and mice, can settle not only indoors, but also in your garden or vegetable garden. There are various methods of controlling these pests, from mechanical traps to various chemical poisons. However, if you are a fan of more humane methods, then natural remedies will be useful.

The experience of farmers shows that rodents do not like raw onions. To scare away rats, you need to put chopped onions in their holes and cover them with earth. If new holes appear after that, don't worry, it means the method is working and the rats are looking for other ways to get out to avoid the onions.
It has also been found that planting this garden crop near their burrows can also be an effective method.
No less effective is peppermint oil, which the rodents also cannot tolerate. Simply soak cotton wool in this oil and place it in the rat holes, replacing it every three days.
If these methods do not bring results, there is another remedy that can be fatal for rats - bay leaves, which they will eat without smelling it and die.
