The smell of lemon and cloves create an invisible "barrier" against mosquitoes. Take a lemon, cut it into two parts, and stick dried clove sticks into them.
Place a few cinnamon sticks next to a candle, and when it burns, the smell will repel mosquitoes. You can also use other aromatic plants such as thyme, basil, mint, or lemon balm.
