How to paint your lips to look ten years younger: a makeup artist shares her professional tricks

Lips naturally shrink with age, but there are various methods that can help restore their fullness. One of these methods is to adapt your makeup techniques.

The famous makeup artist Erica Taylor, who recently celebrated her 47th birthday, shared a useful trick on her TikTok. She shows her followers how small changes in the way you apply makeup can significantly improve your appearance.

In a recent video that quickly gained popularity, the blogger showed how minimal changes in the contour pencil application technique can visually enlarge lips and make them look younger.

Usually, at a young age, it is enough to outline the lips along their natural contour to add freshness and attractiveness to the look. However, over time, just like the rest of the face, lips lose their lushness, so you need to adapt your makeup techniques.

Blogger Erica demonstrated the effectiveness of her method on her own example. On one half of her face, she drew a line of contour pencil exactly along the edge of her lips, lowering it to the corners of her mouth. On the other half, she drew a line just above the natural contour, not going all the way through and blending it slightly.

After that, she invited her followers to evaluate the result. And indeed, the side where her life hack was applied looked more voluminous and younger.

"It's impossible to stop the drooping of the lips, but you can avoid emphasizing it," she concluded.
