How often do you need to change your slippers: you will be amazed

Slippers are shoes in which a person spends a lot of time during the day. You put them on after work, after the bathroom, in the morning when you get out of bed.
No wonder they can become a real breeding ground for bacteria over time. However, not everyone knows how often to wash their slippers – we'll take a look at this issue. UNIAN writes about this.
How often do you need to wash slippers?
Slippers get dirty very quickly. People often don't have enough time to clean every day, so all sorts of dust and debris can accumulate on the soles. Look at your slippers now and you'll be surprised at how much dirt is there.
It is also important to understand what is happening inside the slipper itself. Many people come home from work and immediately change into their slippers without taking off the socks they've been wearing all day. But after you shower, you put them on your clean feet!
To avoid unpleasant diseases and discomfort, you should know how often to wash your slippers. Experts recommend doing it once a week. You can also treat your slippers with disinfectants once or twice a week.

Now let's talk about how long you can wear slippers after purchasing a new pair. It depends on several factors, including the quality of the materials. Some models can last for a year, while others may start to fall apart after the first wash.
The following signs indicate the need to replace slippers
- the unpleasant odor does not disappear even after washing or treatment with disinfectants;
- the slippers have lost their shape or become less rigid – this can have a negative impact on your feet and joints;
- there is wear and tear on the sole.
If none of these signs are present, experts recommend buying a new pair in 6-12 months, depending on the frequency of wear and materials. So, if indoor shoes are used infrequently, the period may be longer. It is worth considering that there is no point in buying a new pair in six months if you have worn them only a few times.
