Perfect for fasting: a recipe for vegan mayonnaise
Aquafaba mayonnaise is no worse than store-bought mayonnaise

This mayonnaise recipe does not contain eggs, instead using aquafaba, the liquid from canned peas. One can of peas makes two servings of mayonnaise.

This mayonnaise has a pleasant flavor and aroma and is allowed during Lent. Even a beginner can handle its preparation. Schuba writes about it.

Ingredients:

  • Aquafaba - 80 ml
  • Refined sunflower oil - 200 ml
  • Mustard - 1.5 tsp.
  • Salt - 0.5 tsp.
  • Sugar - 1 tsp.
  • Lemon juice - 1 tbsp.

Preparation:

  1. Place the oil, mustard, and aquafaba in a blender glass.
  2. Put the blender blade on the bottom and blend without moving it until a thick emulsion is obtained.
  3. Add salt, sugar, and lemon juice, and whisk the mayonnaise until smooth.

This mayonnaise can be seasoned:

  • Salads
  • Sandwiches
  • Vegetable side dishes
  • Vegan dishes
