This recipe is for those who love cottage cheese dishes but are looking for new and interesting options. Cottage cheese sticks are prepared as quickly as cheesecakes but have a new shape, soft texture, and incredible flavor.

Delicious, soft cottage cheese sticks with apples are a great option for a family breakfast that takes only 10 minutes to prepare. The recipe was shared on the "Hostynka" website.

Ingredients:

  • Cottage cheese 5% – 330 g
  • Sour cream – 2 tbsp (with a slide)
  • Salt – 0.5 tsp
  • Sugar – 4 tbsp
  • Vanilla – a pinch
  • Apple – 1 piece (medium)
  • Egg –1 pc
  • Baking powder – 1 tsp
  • Flour – 250-300 g
  • Raisins – 50 g
  • Oil – for frying

Preparation:

  1. Add sugar, salt, egg, and sour cream to the cottage cheese and beat with a blender until smooth.
  2. If you don't mind the cottage cheese grains, you can simply mix the mixture with a spoon.
  3. Add vanilla, baking powder, and an apple grated on a coarse grater, pitted raisins, and mix again until smooth.
  4. Add the flour gradually, kneading a soft dough. The amount of flour may vary slightly depending on the juiciness of the apple and the fat content of the cottage cheese.
  5. Flour the table, put the dough out, and divide it into 3 equal parts.
  6. Roll out each part into a 1 cm thick rectangle and cut into 2-2.5 cm wide strips with a pizza cutter or knife.
  7. Heat the oil in a frying pan, put the sticks, and fry over moderate heat on both sides until golden brown.
  8. If desired, sprinkle the sticks with powdered sugar, pour condensed milk over them, or serve with jam or honey.

Tip:

  • You can add grated cheese, herbs, nuts, or other dried fruits to the filling.
  • Instead of apples, you can use pear, peach, or other fruits.
  • The cottage cheese sticks can also be baked in the oven at 180°C for 20-25 minutes.
