Flambéed bananas are a bright and spectacular dessert that your guests will certainly enjoy. It is made from simple ingredients, but requires some skill, as it involves burning alcohol. The recipe was shared by the Shuba portal.

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas
  • 50 g of butter
  • 50 g of brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 50 ml of rum
  • 100 g of vanilla ice cream
  • Dry coconut to taste

Preparation

  1. Peel the bananas and cut them in half lengthwise.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the butter. When the butter is melted, add the bananas and fry them for 3-5 minutes on each side.
  3. Sprinkle the bananas with sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Pour the rum into the pan and wait for it to heat up. Carefully light the rum with a long match.
  5. When the alcohol has burned, put the bananas on serving plates. Drizzle them with the sauce in the pan. Finish the dessert with a scoop of ice cream and sprinkle with dry coconut.
