How to remove greasy stains from a sofa
When removing stubborn grease stains from the sofa, it is important to know reliable ways to ensure that the fabric remains intact. UAportal has prepared three effective life hacks using common household products to remove grease without damaging the surface.
Vinegar and baking soda
Equal parts of vinegar and water should be mixed in a spray bottle and sprayed directly onto the grease stain, leaving it on for a few minutes. Then you should sprinkle baking soda on the stain and leave it for about 15 minutes to absorb the grease. After that, it should be vacuumed up with a vacuum cleaner and any remaining grease or moisture should be blotted with a clean cloth.
Laundry soap and starch
A mixture of laundry soap and cornstarch can form a paste that should be applied to the greasy stain to ensure complete coverage. Leave it on the stain for at least 30 minutes and then gently scrape it off. Afterwards, you can use a fabric-safe cleaner to remove the residue and the sofa will look as good as new.
Rubbing alcohol
Use a cloth dampened with rubbing alcohol to gently wipe the stain, removing as much grease as possible. Sprinkle some salt on the moistened area to absorb the residue. After an hour, it should be vacuumed and then wiped with a clean cloth.
