How to remove stains on clothes at home

You can make an effective clothes stain remover with your own hands using common household ingredients. UAportal told you what natural remedies help to cope with difficult stains without the use of aggressive chemicals.

Vinegar and baking soda

One way to create an effective do-it-yourself clothing stain remover is to mix equal parts white vinegar and baking soda to form a paste. This paste should be applied directly to the stained area and left on for 30 minutes. After the allotted time has elapsed, the paste can be scraped off with a toothbrush and then rinsed in cold water. This method is especially useful for dealing with stubborn stains.

Lemon juice and salt

Another effective recipe for stain remover involves the use of lemon juice and salt. Lay the clothes on a flat surface, sprinkle the stained area with salt, and then rub with lemon to soak the fabric. Leave the clothes on for 15-30 minutes and then rinse them with cold water. The natural acidity of lemon juice combined with the abrasive texture of salt provides an effective method of removing stains without the use of harsh chemicals, which is an environmentally friendly option.

Baking soda and hydrogen peroxide

A combination of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide can be used to create an effective stain remover. Mix equal parts of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle, then shake gently to mix the ingredients and you will have a solution to spray on the stained area. Leave the solution on for 10-15 minutes and then wash as usual. The effervescence of baking soda combined with the brightening properties of hydrogen peroxide help to remove the stain from the fabric while maintaining the integrity of the garment.
