Learn about effective methods of removing stubborn ink stains from clothes. UAportal has told you how to achieve this using unconventional methods.

Medical alcohol

One of the most effective ways to remove ink from clothes is to use medical alcohol. A clean towel can be placed under the stained area to prevent the ink from transferring to other parts of the garment. Dampen a cotton ball or swab with alcohol and gently blot the stain, being careful not to rub too hard.

Blot the stain until the ink begins to come off. Once the ink is gone, wash the garment in cold water to remove any remaining alcohol and ink.

Milk and whey

Another unconventional but effective way to remove ink from clothes is to use milk or whey. These products should be heated to 45-50 degrees in a shallow bowl. The contaminated area of clothing should be soaked in this mixture for half an hour.

After soaking, the clothes can be rinsed in cold water and washed as usual. This method works well for both fresh and old ink stains and is especially great for delicate fabrics.

Hairspray

The garment should be laid on a flat and clean surface. Then spray the hairspray directly onto the ink stain. It is recommended to leave the hairspray on for a few minutes to allow it to penetrate the ink, then gently blot the area with a clean cloth, and repeat the process until the ink begins to disappear. After treating the stain, the garment should be washed as usual.
