Baking soda solution

If your microwave has an unpleasant odor, one way to deal with it is to use a baking soda solution. By mixing a few tablespoons of baking soda with water in a microwaveable bowl and heating it for a few minutes, you neutralize odors.

Lemon and vinegar cleaner

Another effective method is to use a mixture of lemon and vinegar. Squeeze the juice of a lemon into a bowl with half a cup of water and add a tablespoon of white vinegar before placing the bowl in the microwave to heat for a few minutes to eliminate any lingering odors.

Coffee grounds

Coffee grounds are known for their ability to absorb odors. Simply place a bowl of dry coffee grounds in the microwave and leave it overnight, and it will absorb all unpleasant odors, and in the morning the microwave will smell fresh.

Soap and water

A solution of dish soap and water can be used to wipe the inside of the microwave oven, breaking down odor-causing residue. However, it is important to rinse and dry the interior thoroughly to remove any residual detergent.
