When you need to iron crumpled clothes, but don't have an iron, knowing alternative methods of removing wrinkles can save the day. UAportal talks about tips that can be useful for different types of fabrics and situations.

Using a hair straightener

If your clothes are wrinkled and you don't have an iron at hand, a hair straightener can help. First, make sure that the fabric of the garment can withstand high temperatures. Then, place the crumpled area on a clean surface and run the straightener over it in small sections, being careful not to press too hard.

Hanging clothes in the bathroom

Another way to iron your clothes is to hang them up in the bathroom while taking a shower. The steam generated by the hot water will help relax the fabric fibers, making it easier to smooth out wrinkles. It is important to make sure that the clothes are hung so that they can absorb the steam from the shower and leave them there for at least 15-20 minutes for best results.

Using a dryer

If you have a dryer at your disposal, you can use it to quickly remove wrinkles on your clothes. Just wet the wrinkled clothes, put them in the dryer and add a couple of ice cubes. The dryer should run at high temperature for about 10-15 minutes. The combination of heat and steam created by the ice cubes will help smooth out wrinkles, and the clothes will look neat and tidy.

Using a towel

For quick ironing, wet a towel and place it on the crumpled piece of clothing. Then, using your palms, press firmly to smooth out the creases. The moisture from the towel and the pressure will be able to remove the creases and leave the clothes looking neat.
