How to whiten clothes at home: 5 simple tips
White clothes are often associated with elegance and refined taste. However, keeping them white can be difficult, and frequent use of chemical bleaches can damage delicate fabrics such as silk, knitwear, and tulle. UAportal has told you about several effective ways to bleach clothes at home using natural ingredients.
Peroxide and ammonia
Create a solution by mixing hydrogen peroxide and ammonia in a 2:1 ratio. About 2 teaspoons of the product should be enough for 1 liter of warm water. Soak the clothes in this mixture for an hour, then wash them as usual or rinse them thoroughly.
Sea salt
Dissolve sea salt in warm water using a ratio of 20 g of salt per liter. After normal washing, soak the clothes in the solution for about 30 minutes and then rinse them in cold water. This method helps to effectively restore color.
Manganese solution
Prepare a saturated solution of manganese by adding 20 g for each liter of water. Thoroughly lather the laundry with mild soap and immerse it in the solution for an hour. Then rinse the clothes thoroughly with water.
Boiling
Boiling is a highly effective method for whitening clothes and removing stubborn stains. However, it is very important to check the label of the garment to make sure it can withstand hot water.
A weak solution of cyanide
To whiten yellowed shirts or white clothes, use a solution of bleach and water. You only need about 7 drops of the product for 1 liter of water.
