Cleaning a frying pan from soot can be a difficult task, but with the right methods, it can be done effectively. UAportal has shared some practical and safe tips to help you effectively clean the surface of your cookware.

Baking soda and vinegar

First, sprinkle a layer of baking soda on the stains, and then pour a little white vinegar on top. Let the mixture fizz for a few minutes and then scrub the pan with a non-abrasive sponge.

Salt and lemon

Pour a generous amount of salt over the stains, then cut the lemon in half. Rub the pan with one half, squeezing out the juice. The acidic properties of the citrus, combined with the abrasiveness of the salt, will help remove soot from the surface.

Boiling water and dishwashing detergent

Fill the pan with enough water to cover the soot stains, add a few drops of dishwashing detergent, and bring the water to a boil. Boil for a few minutes, then use a wooden spatula to gently remove any soot from the surface. Dry the frying pan thoroughly before using it again.

Cleaning agent

If the soot on your pan is particularly resistant, use a commercially available cleaning agent. There are various products specifically designed to remove stubborn stains and soot from cookware. Follow the instructions on the package, but as a general rule, you can apply the product to the soot stains, leave it on for a while, and then scrub the pan with a sponge or brush.

To avoid excessive soot buildup in the future, it is important to follow good cooking habits. Use the appropriate heat settings for your cookware, avoid overheating, and clean the pans immediately after each use.
