5 ingenious ways to use rubber bands in everyday life
Rubber bands can often be found in large quantities at home, and they can also be purchased in various places, such as pharmacies, or even at the market. UAportal reveals that these items can be useful in different situations.
1. Painting
When painting, brushes accumulate excess paint that drips onto the ground and stains your hands. To prevent this, a simple solution is to stretch an elastic band over the paint can and use it to remove excess paint from the brush.
2. Opening caps and lids
Unscrewing stubborn nail polish caps or jar lids can be a daunting task. Fortunately, rubber bands can provide the necessary grip to open them with ease. Wrapping it around the problematic lid will give you the leverage you need to unscrew it easily.
3. Cutting food
When cutting vegetables or meat, there is often a problem when the board slides across the table. To ensure stability, place a rubber band around the edges. This will create friction between the board and the surface, providing security and stability for cutting.
5. Hanging clothes
Wrap the edges of the hangers with rubber bands. They act as stoppers, preventing clothes from slipping. Thus, you don't need to constantly pick them up.
