Nettle is not only a weed, but also a valuable source of nutrients for your plants. Nettle fertilizer is rich in nitrogen, potassium, calcium, iron and other trace elements, which are essential for the growth and development of vegetables, fruits, flowers and berries.

In addition, nettle fertilizer improves soil structure, stimulates the growth of beneficial microflora and inhibits the development of pests.

It is very easy to prepare nettle fertilizer:

Fill a plastic tub with chopped nettle stems and leaves from a third to half full. Add hot water, leaving a few centimeters at the top. Cover with plastic or a lid and place in the shade. Stir 2-3 times a week. After 2 weeks, the infusion will be ready. Dilute it with water 1:10 before use.

Water the plants with this infusion once every 2 weeks. The leftover nettle from the tub can be used as mulch.

You can add other plants to the nettle infusion, such as dandelion.

It is best to use nettle fertilizer after watering, on cloudy days or in the evening.
