Ingredients:

  • Pork (fillet) - 800 g
  • Soy sauce - 5 tbsp.
  • Starch - 4 tbsp.
  • Baking powder - 1 tsp.
  • Garlic - 3 cloves
  • Honey - 1 tbsp.
  • Dry ginger - 0.5 tsp.
  • Salt, pepper, sesame seeds to taste
  • Oil for frying

Preparation:

  1. Cut the pork into small pieces 0.5 cm thick. Lightly beat the meat with a hammer. Make small cuts with scissors along the edges of each piece.
  2. Put the meat in a bowl, add salt, pepper, 3 tablespoons of soy sauce and baking powder. Mix well. Add the starch and mix again to coat each piece.
  3. Heat the oil in a frying pan. Put the pork pieces and fry on both sides until golden brown.
  4. Fry all the pork and put it on a plate.
  5. In the pan where the meat was fried, squeeze the garlic, add dry ginger, honey, and 2 tablespoons of soy sauce. Heat everything and add the fried pork.
  6. Simmer the meat in the sauce for a few minutes, stirring constantly.
  7. Sprinkle the dish with sesame seeds and serve.

Tip:

  • Instead of fillet, you can use other parts of pork, such as shoulder or ham.
  • For a more savory taste, you can add hot pepper to the sauce.
  • Korean pork goes well with rice, potatoes, vegetable salad, or noodles.
