Six interesting ways to use liquid laundry detergent
Liquid laundry detergent can be used for more than just its primary purpose. It has more than one trick up its sleeve.
This household item, which is available in every home, can serve other purposes. Sante Plus magazine suggests six alternatives.

- Hand soap. If you run out of hand soap, you can replace it with water and detergent. Simply fill the empty hand soap container with detergent, and mix the rest with an equal amount of water before use.
- Hand cleanser. If you have stubborn dirt on your hands that's hard to remove, just use a teaspoon of laundry detergent and a teaspoon of vegetable oil, and the dirt will disappear quickly.
- Multi-purpose cleaner. Mix 2 tablespoons of detergent with 1 liter of water and use this mixture to combat grease and dirt in the kitchen. Alternatively, you can pour the mixture into a spray bottle and use it to clean any surface in the house.
- Floor cleaner. Add half a spoonful of liquid detergent to a bucket of hot water and use this solution to mop the floor. It might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think about mopping your floor, but with this tip, your floor will be sparkling clean.
- Stain remover. You can use laundry detergent to remove stains. Apply a small amount of liquid laundry detergent directly to the stain, ensuring the fabric doesn't absorb the stain completely. Then put the garment in the washing machine and wash it on a regular cycle.
- Unclog drains. Liquid detergent can help clear a blocked drain. Before calling a plumber, it's worth trying this method. Just pour half a cup of detergent down the drain, leave it for a few minutes, then rinse with boiling water. It should clear away mildly stubborn clogs, and the hot water will flush the pipes clean.
