This recipe for baked fish with onions and potatoes is a great way to prepare a delicious and satisfying dish from available ingredients. The fish is tender and juicy, and the onions and potatoes are crispy and flavorful.

The recipe was shared on the One Minute website. To make the onions caramelized and without a characteristic odor, add 1/3 teaspoon of baking soda to the onions while frying. For a richer flavor, you can add a little grated cheese to the filling. Instead of skewers, you can use wooden toothpicks.

Ingredients:

  • Hake - 2 fillets
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Seasonings for fish
  • Dry garlic to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Onion - 600 g
  • Soda - 1/3 tsp
  • Seasoning for potatoes
  • Butter - 50 g
  • Potatoes - 4 pcs.
  • Eggs - 3 pcs.
  • Cream - 100 ml
  • Fresh parsley - 1 bunch

Preparation:

  1. Peel the fish from the skin and bones, cut into portions. Brush the fish with vegetable oil, season with salt and pepper and roll in fish seasoning and dry garlic. Leave to marinate for 20 minutes.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the chopped onion until transparent. Add the butter and baking soda. Fry for another 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Transfer 2/3 of the onion to another bowl. Put the potatoes, cut into thin slices, in the pan where the onions were fried. Sprinkle with the potato seasoning. Place the fish pieces on top of the potatoes. Put the onions that you set aside on top of the fish.
  4. Prepare the filling by mixing and whisking the eggs and cream until smooth. Pour the filling over the dish and sprinkle with finely chopped parsley.
  5. Place skewers on top and cover with wet parchment. Bake in a 180-degree oven for 35 minutes.
