Spicy and healthy: a recipe for spicy cabbage salad
A delicious and healthy salad of cabbage, carrots and peppers will be a great addition to any table. It does not contain mayonnaise, so it is light and dietary. A spicy dressing of garlic, onion, hot pepper and vinegar gives the salad a pleasant spice. The recipe was shared by the Shuba portal.
The combination of cabbage, carrots and peppers gives the salad a pleasant crispness and freshness. The salad has bright colors due to the colorful ingredients, which contributes not only to its appetizing appearance, but also indicates a variety of nutrients. Cabbage contains a large amount of vitamins C and K, as well as dietary fiber. Carrots are rich in beta-carotene, and peppers are rich in vitamin C and other antioxidants. Together they create a salad that promotes overall health.
Ingredients
- White cabbage - 1 kg
- Carrots - 2 pcs.
- Sweet pepper - 2 pcs.
- Onion - 1 pc.
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Hot red pepper - 1/2 pc.
- Sugar - 40 g
- Salt - 40 g
- Vinegar - 30 ml
- Ground black pepper - 5 g
- Sunflower oil - 100 ml
Preparation
- Wash the cabbage, remove the top leaves, and thinly chop the rest.
- Peel, wash and cut the carrots into thin strips. Peel the onion and cut it into half rings. Pass the peeled garlic through a press.
- Core the sweet pepper, wash it and cut it into small strips. Remove the seeds from the hot pepper and chop it.
- Add all the vegetables, vinegar, salt, sugar, pepper to the cabbage, mix and toss. Put the salad in a cold place for a few hours, then serve with oil.
