How to increase the apple harvest

Experienced gardeners often resort to a different strategy - they stop fertilizing the tree using a method known as shocking. Usually, when a person buys a young seedling and plants it, he or she follows all the rules of plant care.

To do this, a rusty nail is driven into the trunk of the apple tree, which is safe for the tree but effectively stimulates it to better yield. The nail should be driven into a selected place on the trunk, where it can be easily removed later, and the hole should be covered with garden varnish.
