How to clean a mattress with vodka: life hack from housewives

During the course of using a mattress, certain stains and, in some cases, even mold can form on it. These problems can be solved by yourself or by involving specialists who will restore the cleanliness of your bed.

The UAportal team together with Ukr.Media has prepared for you a way to help you cope with the problem of mold. One of the effective methods of control involves the use of vodka.

How to clean a mattress with vodka

To eliminate mold, make a solution by mixing equal parts of water and vodka and fill a spray bottle with it. Apply the resulting composition to the areas affected by mold, leave it on for a quarter of an hour, and then wipe the surface with a dry cloth.

The same method is effective for updating an old mattress with an unpleasant odor. Dilute vodka with water, spray it on the mattress, and let it dry in the fresh air or on the balcony.

You can also use salt or vinegar dissolved in water to clean your mattress. Spray this mixture on the mattress, leave it on for a while, and then remove the residue with a dry cloth or vacuum cleaner.
